Pebble Smartwatch: App Store geht Anfang 2014 online

Aktuell gibt es nicht viel neues von Apples Plänen einer iWatch. Die Analysten sind sich bislang nicht einig, ob nun der erste Fernseher oder die erste Smartwatch aus Cupertino im kommenden Jahr das Licht der Welt erblicken wird. Wer allerdings nicht auf eine Uhr mit einem angebissenen Apfel warten möchte, den machen die Entwickler der Pebble-Watch den Kauf des eigenen Produkts schmackhaft. Denn ab sofort finden Entwickler im Developer-Center eine Einführung in das SDK 2.0 und APIs zum Entwickeln von eigenen Apps und Zifferblättern für die Pebble-Watch. Diese werden dann im eigenen App-Store Anfang nächsten Jahres veröffentlicht. Somit wird es der erste Shop für Smartwatch-Applikationen der Welt.

The introduction of SDK 2.0 included four major new APIs—Javascript, Accelerometer, Data Logging, and Persistent Storage—and the response has been phenomenal. We know developers have excitedly anticipated submitting their SDK 2.0 Pebble apps to the Pebble app store.
