Fremdes Terrain: Apple will ersten Store in Südkorea eröffnen

Shortnews: Südkorea – von der Wirtschaftswoche liebevoll nur noch „Samsung-Republik“ genannt – steht nicht nur wirtschaftlich voll im Zeichen des Tech-Riesen. Jeder zweite Südkoreaner besitzt ein Handy des heimischen Konzerns.

Das will Apple ändern. Schon in der Kundenzufriedenheit hat es das US-Unternehmen geschafft, im Heimatland von Samsung vorne zu liegen – jetzt geht es an den Absatz. Dazu wird Apple schon bald seinen ersten Präsenz-Store ind er Hauptstadt Seoul eröffnen. Entsprechende Job-Ausschreibungen gibt es bereits.

Gegenüber Reuters hat Apple die Pläne zusätzlich bestätigt:

We’re excited about opening our first Apple Store in Korea, one of the world’s economic centers and a leader in telecommunication and technology, with a vibrant K-culture. We’re now hiring the team that will offer our customers in Seoul the service, education and entertainment that is loved by Apple customers around the world.
